Located in Canet-de-Salars, in the Aveyron département, the 4-star Camping Le Caussanel on the shores of the sublime Lac de Pareloup is an ideal base for exploring the region.
Aveyron is a vast department in the south of the Massif Central, known for its wide open spaces, breathtaking landscapes, picturesque villages, gorges and rivers.
During your stay, you won’t want to miss the world’s highest viaduct, the famous Millau Viaduct, overhanging the Tarn valley and proving to be a real technological feat.
To find out more about this site, located some 40 km from Le Caussanel campsite, in the heart of the Grands Causses Regional Nature Park and a UNESCO World Heritage site, you can visit the belvedere, which offers a panoramic view of the viaduct, or take the Explorers’ Trail with a guide (fee payable), who will reveal all the secrets of the viaduct.

The pretty Notre-Dame de Rodez cathedral, an 87-meter-high Gothic building in pink sandstone, located in the heart of the city, is a must-see during your stay.
You can also visit the Musée Soulages, a contemporary art museum dedicated to the artist of the same name, Pierre Soulages.

Let yourself be tempted by one of the many water sports available on the lake, and rent a canoe, kayak, paddle or pedalo directly from our 4-star campsite for a trip along the water!
If you like fishing, you can also enjoy this activity at Lac de Pareloup, renowned for its very fishy waters.
Lac de Pareloup also boasts a number of well-maintained beaches, making it a popular spot for families to swim and relax!
For thrill-seekers, jet-skiing and kitesurfing are just some of the activities offered by the lake’s water sports clubs!
For swimming and water activities, you can also visit the sublime Gorges du Tarn, in the Cévennes regional nature park, or the Gorges de la Dourbie, near Millau.
